NEO212 inhibits migration and invasion of glioma stem cells

This preclinical study reveals a second anticancer feature of NEO212: in addition to its well-established tumor killing effect, it can also inhibit the migration of brain tumor stem cells. The migration of tumor stem cells allows the cancer to invade neighboring brain tumor tissue, thereby spreading the malignancy further into the healthy parts of the brain. Inhibition of this process by NEO212 therefore should block the expansion of the tumor and contribute to overall better therapeutic outcome and increased survival of patients.
